Janasena is contesting in eight seats in Telangana in alliance with the BJP.

The result of this election will definitely have an impact on AP as the opponents will try to pull down Janasena if they do not win here. But then, it is not easy for Janasena but the party and its supporters are hopeful about winning at least in Kukatpally.

Janasena is pinning hopes on the Kapu community which is the largest in Kukatpally constituency with about 70,000 voters. ‘

The community of Kapus, Balijas, Turpu, and Munnur Kapus voted en masse to the BRS in the 2018 elections.

Along with the support of the Kapu community, Janasena also hopes the Kamma community and TDP supporters will support its candidate here due to its alliance in Andhra Pradesh.

Popular Builder Mummareddy Prem Kumar joined Janasena a day before from the BJP and got the ticket here. He was earlier in the TDP too and so he hopes to bring in some votes for the TDP with local connections.

Madhavaram Krishna Rao is the BRS candidate and he is running for the third term now. Janasena hopes there is a significant anti-incumbency on him.

However, Janasena winning Kukatpally is not as easy as said.

Kapu community polarization is not easy as seen in many cases. Also, it has to be seen if the Kamma community will prefer Congress or Janasena.

Political experts believe TDP supporters and the Kamma community are rooting for Congress this time to defeat BRS. Moreover, Congress candidate is a Kamma.

Also, TDP supporters are not digesting the fact that Janasena allied with the BJP.

Above everything, voters often tend to vote for winning horses. Telangana’s political turf indicates that the BJP is in the third position now. So, it is not easy to attract the voters amid all these factors.
