Renault Duster 2024 Design
Ahead of the official debut on Nov 29, the design of the new-gen Dacia Duster has been leaked on the Internet. In terms of styling, the new Renault Duster 2024 is heavily inspired from the Bigster concept. While the Bigster concept measures around 4.6 meters in length, the new Duster will be compact in size and will be around 4.3-4.4 meters long.
The production version of the new Duster comes with a sporty front profile, featuring a high bonnet line, Bigster-inspired Y-shaped LED headlamps and a slimmer grille that merges nicely with the headlamps. The SUV gets a large metal bumper with more curved lines. The lower bumper appears like a flattened bull-bar that also houses two vertically stacked air vents on either side.
The profile of the new Duster SUV has a coupe-like appearance. It features big muscles, hidden door handles and rectangular-shaped wheel arches, which seems heavily inspired from the Bigster concept. The SUV has more aggressive profile compared to the existing model with a classic look, traditional door handles and a large glass area.
At the back, the new-gen Duster features a sportier design. It features a big sized tailgate, new & modern LED lighting system and an imposing spoiler. The SUV comes with a tapering rear quarter glass, which seems inspired from the existing Duster. It comes with a blacked out ‘B’ and ‘C’ pillars and blacked out vertical ‘shadow-line’ right below the mirrors. The SUV gets a newly styled 10-spoke alloy wheels and uniquely styled cladding below the rear doors.
New Platform & Powertrains
The new Renault Duster 2024 will be based on the modified version of the CMF-B platform that underpins the Renault Clio, Captur and the Renault Arkana. The third-gen Duster is reportedly to be offered with three engine options. The entry-level model will receive a 120bhp, 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. It will also get a hybrid powertrain, which is most likely to be a 140bhp, 1.2-litre petrol with a strong hybrid tech. The top-spec model is reportedly to get a 170bhp, 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, which will be flex-fuel compliant.
Renault India has also stated that strong hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines could be offered on the third gen Duster in our market.
Renault Duster 2024 Launch Timeline
The new-gen Duster will be launched in our market in 2025. Adding to it, the company is also expected to launch the 7-seater derivative of the Duster which is most likely to be the production version of the Bigster.
