ISRO is planning to explore the solar system beyond the Moon and the Sun. After the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission, ISRO is now aiming for more ambitious missions. Shukrayaan, a mission to study the planet Venus, is being planned by the organization. Moreover, ISRO is planning a sample return mission from the Moon as the next step in the Chandrayaan series. Dr M Sankaran, Director of the U R Rao Satellite Center, ISRO, Bengaluru, revealed that they are also conceiving a landing mission to Mars. In addition to this, the organization has realized the big Indo-American jointly built satellite, NISAR, or the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite. Further, a space docking experiment called SPADEX will be ready soon, which will act as a stepping stone for an Indian space station in the future. ISRO follows a smart testing and quality assurance strategy to reduce costs without compromising the quality as space technology is highly unforgiving.
