However, New Zealand didn’t learn how to lose hope as they had a fiery start. But India’s Mohammad Shami had other plans as he managed to grab two early wickets. And that dueled his future spell, as Shami had the performance of his life.
Shami not only got out the hot 5 NZ batters; he managed to show the pavilion to the set Kane Williamson and Mitchell, one of the best WC ever. Despite the humongous total, NZ managed to channel some hope with the stable batting, but Shami turned the tables like nothing else.
And as he collects the ball, the scoreboard read, 57 runs conceded and 7 wickets taken. A performance of a lifetime for Shami as India shines through the semis to make their spot in the final. Now, they play the waiting game as the unbeaten India waits for Australia and South Africa to fight it out among themselves.
