Galaxy F23 5G receives fourth One UI 6.0 beta update

One of the most surprising additions to Samsung’s One UI 6.0 beta testing program was the Galaxy F23 in India. Despite the “x23” name, this device is nothing close to the Galaxy S23 series. It’s a budget device distributed in India through Flipkart. Nevertheless, it was added to the One UI 6.0 beta in mid-October, and Samsung keeps working on the project.

Samsung is now rolling out the fourth One UI 6.0 beta build for the Galaxy F23 in India less than two weeks after it introduced beta-3.

The fourth beta build carries firmware version ZWK2 and claims to improve stability while fixing some bugs (via @tarunvats33).

The embedded changelog, which sadly can’t always be trusted for beta builds, says that the fourth One UI 6.0 beta for the Galaxy F23 improves device and camera stability while fixing:

  • Mobile data disconnecting issue
  • Lock screen wallpaper issue
  • Secure Folder shortcuts issue

When will the Galaxy F23 receive the stable One UI 6.0 update?

That’s the big question on every Galaxy F23 user’s mind. And unfortunately, we don’t have an answer.

A Samsung Community manager revealed a tentative One UI 6.0 release roadmap not long ago. It said the Galaxy A23 (the equivalent of the F23 outside of India) should receive stable One UI 6.0 on November 27. But can this information be trusted?

That roadmap proved to be inaccurate so far. It wrongly predicted the release of One UI 6.0 for several devices, including the A34, A54, S22 series, Z Flip 5, and Z Fold 5. And since then, that post on the Community forums has been removed.

Whatever a stable release might happen, the good news is that Samsung is serious about bringing One UI 6.0 to the Galaxy F23, and work is being done as we speak.

For now, the fourth beta update is out for anyone willing to test it. We’ll keep you posted and let you know as soon as we find out more about the beta program’s progress or the launch of a stable build.
