Israel-Hamas War News Live Updates (November 17, 2023): Israel’s national security adviser Friday said the country’s War Cabinet has agreed to allow two tanker trucks of fuel to enter the Gaza Strip each day — a quantity he described as “very minimal”. Addressing the media, Tzachi Hanegbi said the fuel would be allowed for Gaza’s communications system and water and sewage services. He added that the aim is to prevent the spread of disease without disrupting Israel’s ability to continue its war against the Hamas militant group.
Meanwhile, UN aid deliveries to Gaza were suspended again on Friday due to shortages of fuel and a communications shutdown, further deepening the crisis as Israeli troops continue to fight Hamas militants in the region. The United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) said civilians were facing the “immediate possibility of starvation” due to the lack of food supplies.

In another development, the Israeli military, which has been raiding Gaza’s Al Shifa Hospital for the past two days, said that they have retrieved the body of a soldier who had been taken captive by Hamas. Noa Marciano’s body was found in a building near the hospital based on intelligence information, reported The Times of Israel. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condemned the Hamas attacks of October 7 and expressed concern over civilians suffering in the conflict. He called for restraint, dialogue and diplomacy in resolving the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Love you.” The 19-year-old soldier was on duty at the Israel-Gaza border that day when she was abducted by Hamas militants, one of about 200 Israelis who were taken hostage and are now believed to be in Gaza.
In Tel Aviv, Roni’s aunt Tair remembers her niece, who “loves Taylor Swift and Maroon 5”, as she says, “So far, no one knows anything about her. We are desperate to receive any sign of life.”
So the aunt sent Roni a text message: “Well, honey, we will find you. We will get you back. Your parents love you. Your family loves you. Stay strong. We know you have high resilience. Use it now. Till we come and get you…We love you.” She hasn’t heard back. (Read more)
