The final match of the ICC ODI World Cup-2023 between India vs Australia will be held on the upcoming Sunday and not a single person will disagree that sports and music are a match made in heaven.
As if the world’s second biggest sport’s World cup Final, being played in the country it is loved in the most, in the world’s biggest stadium were not enough, there were reports stating that global sensation Dua Lipa would be amongst the performers performing on the grand event.
These reports have, however, proved to be false as BCCI released the list of star-studded performances that will be taking place on the fateful dance and the icon’s name was not there. This came as a big disappointment as fans across continents were excited to dance to her melodies and make the event all the more memorable.
The speculations had risen after the pop star interacted with Indian cricketers with ‘Prince’ Shubhman Gill even asking her about her song choice for the ceremony. Furthermore, Vogue India had released a report in which it stated that the star is likely to bless fans with her performance.
This however doesn’t mean that it is going to be a dry spectacle as Indian Air Force is all set to offer an Air Show which will feature its top of class, military grade fighter jets and the skilled pilots maneuvering the birds around, flaunting their skills by showcasing various tricks and formations. Other big names which will be present at the ceremony are legendary singer Pritam, Khalasi Singer Aditya Gadhvi and many more.
This ensures that the World Cup is sure to go down in the history books as it’ll not only offer a jab between two of the most successful teams in the game’s history but will also house state of the art functions which will truly live up to the grandeur of the event.
