It is known that JanaSena and BJP are contesting together in the coming elections in Telangana. However, this alliance has led to a peculiar headache for the BJP and this is regarding the election symbol of JSP.
JSP candidate from Kodad, Satheesh Reddy is extensively campaigning to vote for the glass symbol. He is the JSP candidate from this constituency and he is pushing to vote for glass symbol.
But in the Munugode constituency, the situation is different as an independent candidate named Hariprasad Goud is contesting from here and he has been allotted the glass symbol by the Election Commission.
The reason here is that the EC has allocated the glass symbol to independent candidates in areas where JSP is not contesting.
As a result, the BJP candidate in Munugode, who is being supported by JSP is worried that a section of Pawan Kalyan’s fans might be voting for glass symbol in confusion. If that happens, the independent candidate who is contesting on glass symbol will benefit instead of JSP’s actual ally – BJP candidate. This is the case with a few other constituencies in Telangana.
So, JSP’s election symbol and the drama surrounding the same has become a new headache for BJP.
