Galaxy S24 clears one more step to move towards its launch

Samsung is expected to launch the next set of flagship smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January next year. According to multiple reports, the lineup will bring three devices, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. With only two months before the launch, the company has started getting these devices certified by various authorities. Back in September, we saw the three phones getting the 3C certification. Now, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has been spotted on the Bureau Of Indian Standards (BIS) platform.

One of the Galaxy S24 Ultra model numbers is SM-S928B, which will be sold in most markets around the world, and it’s the model number that has been certified on the BIS platform. It confirms that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S24 Ultra in India. Since the inception of the Galaxy S-series, Samsung has launched every flagship device in the lineup in the country. So, the latest news doesn’t come as a surprise. That being said, it does suggest that the development of the device is complete and its launch is imminent.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature an AMOLED display with 2,500 nits brightness, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, a quad-camera setup at the rear with 200MP primary sensor and a 5x telephoto camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging speed.
