The political and crime investigation thriller film “Kota Bommali PS” which was released amid good promotions is one of the films that hit the theaters this week. Let’s find out in the review how this movie, starring actor Srikanth, Shivani Rajasekhar and Rahul Vijay in the lead roles.
Story:
Coming to the story.. Ramakrishna (Srikanth) and his juniors Ravi (Rahul Vijay) and Kumari (Shivani Rajasekhar), three policemen working in Kota Bommali area of Srikakulam, will be portrayed as prime suspects for a mistake they did not commit during the bye-election in that area. Home Minister Parisala Jairaj (Murali Sharma) appoints Razia Ali (Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar) as an investigation officer to catch them. And will she catch the three? Will they be proven innocent or not? If you want to know how Ramakrishna faced these challenges with his experience, then you have to watch this movie.
Plus Points:
The film revolves around the three main characters Srikanth, Rahul Vijay and Sivatmika. And it must be said that these three are set perfectly for these three roles. It seems that after many days Srikanth as the main character was seen in a moving role.
All his scenes look good and juicy. Young actors Shivani and Rahul Vijay, who traveled with him till the end of the film, gave promising performances as he cultivated his role perfectly.
Solid emotions but gripping narration in this film will please those who watch good thriller or investigation thriller type movies. The mind game sequences between Srikanth and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar as the main characters impress with twists. The climax is another major strength of the movie. An emotional and clean ending completes the movie perfectly.
Minus Points:
Although this film has an interesting point and emotion, it takes some time for the audience to get immersed in it. The starting of the movie is a bit slow. And for those who expect comedy entertainment, there is not much in it.
Along with this, the narration seems to be a bit slow here and there. This may feel boring in some places. Also, compared to the original, Srikanth’s role would have been more effective if he had presented it with more depth.
Technical Department:
Geetha Arts 2’s production values in this film are very good. The movie has been shot in a very natural manner according to the background of the movie. Ranjin Raj’s music in technician team is good. Jagdish’s dark cinematography is also good. Editing is fine.
When it comes to the director Teja Marni, it should be said that he tried to give a promising remake of the original film ‘Nayattu’. A good subject was presented with decent narration. His work is good for this movie except for some shortcomings.
Verdict:
Overall, Srikanth’s role in this “Kota Bommali PS” will please the audience. But apart from the boring scenes of the slow moving first half, the second half impresses with good mind game twists, a good investigation thriller with an emotional climax, you can try this movie this weekend.
