Hardik Pandya returns to Mumbai Indians? Reports

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya will return to his old home Mumbai Indians, according to reports. Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans have held discussions with Hardik.

According to News18, Gujarat Titans have asked India skipper Rohit Sharma or England pacer Jofra Archer to replace Hardik. But while Rohit Sharma is unlikely to leave Mumbai Indians as captain, Archer may join Gujarat next season.

Hardik will join Gujarat Titans in 2021. Hardik managed to lead Gujarat to their first title in his debut season as captain. Hardik was able to repeat the same good performance in his second season as captain as well.

Last season, under the leadership of Hardik, Gujarat reached the final but fell to Chennai Super Kings. If Hardik’s team goes, Afghan bowler Rashid Khan or New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson will take over the next captaincy of Gujarat.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya’s return to Mumbai Indians created a lot of excitement among the fans. Hardik is also likely to take over the captaincy of the five-time champions Mumbai Indians under illness.

Hardik played three matches in IPL and scored 1763 runs. The Indian all-rounder has also taken 53 wickets.

Hardik was a part of the Indian team in the last World Cup but due to an injury, the player was ruled out in the middle of the World Cup.
