According to rumors, the producers of “Matka,” which was launched a few months ago, have decided to put the project on hold for a while because the market is not right for it. Aside from that, Varun Tej’s recent films have not performed well at the box office.
However, the producers put an end to the rumors by announcing that pre-production work on the film is nearing completion.
Varun Tej, who recently married his girlfriend Lavanya Tripathi, is now free of all wedding-related obligations. He is now preparing to begin filming for “Matka.”
“On the outskirts of Hyderabad, a massive set is taking shape, and pre-production work is nearing completion,” the production team issued a statement. “The regular shooting will commence in December,” the team added.
“Matka” is a period drama starring Varun Tej, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Nora Fatehi. The director is Karuna Kumar of ‘Palasa’ fame. Vyra Entertainments, which recently produced ‘Hi Nanna,’ is behind the project.
