The news agency PTI reported this. Both Sarfraz Khan and Manish Pandey were unable to make a splash for the team last season. Therefore, the team remained at the bottom of the points table. Delhi bought Sarfraz for Rs 20 lakh and Manish for Rs 2.40 crore. With the removal of these two from the team, Delhi will now have an additional Rs 2.60 crore.

Disappointing performance by Sarfraz Khan

The 26-year-old Sarfaraz played four matches for Delhi in IPL 2023. In this he could score only 53 runs. His highest score was 30 runs. Earlier in IPL 2022, he scored 91 runs in six matches. Delhi has shown him the way out after failing to live up to the team’s expectations.

He has scored a lot of runs in domestic cricket over the years, but he has not been able to repeat that feat in the IPL. Before Delhi, he played for Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.

Manish Pandey also disappointed

Manish Pandey’s form has also been disappointing in the IPL in recent times. Last season he scored only 150 runs in 10 matches. His highest score was 50 runs in this. His strike rate was 109.59, which is not good for this format.

In 2022, he was part of the Lucknow Super Giants team. Even at that time, his performance was barely there. He could only score 88 runs in six matches. Lucknow spent Rs 4.60 crore on him. After that, there was a battle between three teams to get him. Apart from Delhi, RCB also tried to get him in the last auction.
