Viduthalai: part 1, starring Soori, was a successful venture at the box office. Soori was lauded for his natural and impactful performance. This raw and rustic period action drama is directed by sensational filmmaker Vetrimaaran. The film featured the versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist.
The latest update is that Viduthalai 2 is left with 30 days of shoot. Currently, the scenes featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Manju Warrier, and Soori are being filmed. The second part is said to have solid action sequences, and the scale is much bigger than that of the first part.
The makers are aiming for a Summer 2024 release. Produced by RS Infotainment and Grassroot Film Company, the movie also has Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, and Chethan in prominent roles. Ilaiyaraaja is composing the tunes.
