Graeme McDowell is set to play on the LIV Golf tour again next year by joining the team captained by Brooks Koepka.
The Northern Irish man is expected to be named in the Smash team, captained by US golfer Koepka.
McDowell has had to negotiate his way back on to the Saudi Arabian-backed tour after finishing outside the automatic retention places this year.
The Portrush man’s two-year contract with LIV has expired.
McDowell is still a member of the DP World Tour but it is understood he owes fines believed to be in the region of £1.5 million.
As yet, he has not resigned his membership, like many other players who made the move to LIV.
McDowell, who represented the Cleeks team last year, has earned over £4 million on the LIV Tour to date, but his future looked uncertain after his 40th-place finish in 2023.
Only the top 24 and team captains were guaranteed their places next season.
