TDP complains to AP Chief Secretary against AAG

A TDP team on Thursday complained to Chief Secretary, Jawahar Reddy, against Assistant Advocate General (AAG), Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy.

The TDP team complained to Jawahar Reddy that’ the recent comments made by Sudhakar Reddy on the Skill Development case amount to degrading the judicial system. Briefing media persons after meeting the Chief Secretary, TDP politburo member, Varla Ramiah, said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has created the post of AAG so that the person holding the post will follow his guidelines. The primary responsibility of the AAG is foisting false cases against TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, and creating wrong evidence, he said.

Advocate General, Sriram, has been rigidly following the norms and is not violating the law, while Ponnavolu has been making every effort to blame Chandrababu Naidu for even silly issues, Ramiah felt.

Never in the State history, either the AGs or the AAGs addressed the media, Ramiah said and added that Ponnavolu is acting in a strange manner. The behaviour of Ponnavolu in the Skill Development case has surprised even legal luminaries, he stated.

Blaming the judges and the courts and making irresponsible remarks against a senior leader like Chandrababu certainly amounts to violation of legal norms, Ramiah stated. ”Since the Chief Secretary has appointed Sudhakar Reddy as the AAG, we have complained to him against the AAG now,” Ramiah noted.

The TDP politburo member felt that Ponnavolu had no right to continue in the post even for a day. He also made it clear that the TDP will certainly take the matter to the notice of all the concerned authorities and on behalf of the party they will file a contempt of court case against the AAG.

Demanding the Chief Secretary, in his capacity as the appointing authority, take a stringent action against Ponnavolu, the TDP politburo member said that officials should act within their limits.

Legal action will be initiated by the coming TDP government against those officers who crossed the thin line, Ramiah said. The TDP team who met the Chief Secretary consists of MLC, Ashok Babu, official spokesman, Sayyed Rafi, and others.
