The much-awaited 2024 Kia Sonet facelift is scheduled to make India debut on December 14, 2023. Ahead of the official debut, Kia India has released a new teaser video of the sub-4 meter SUV. The latest teaser reveals key details including changes on offer. The new model has received revised styling and feature-loaded cabin; however, the engine options are likely to remain the same.
The teaser image reveals the Kia Sonet facelift is finished in red colour option. The SUV comes with heavily revised front fascia, featuring a revised slimmer grille, new inverted L-shaped LED daytime running lights, new LED headlamps and an updated bumper. The revised bumper comes with integrated LED fog lamps, and a silver faux skid plate.
The 2024 Kia Sonet facelift will receive a slightly revised dashboard layout. It comes with a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, an updated HVAC panel and aircon vents. The SUV is equipped with high-end features including auto dimming IRVM, Bose-sourced music system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, ambient lighting and wireless charger. The small SUV continue to be offered with an all-black interior scheme.
The new SUV will come with ADAS tech with limited features; however, this feature will be resevered for the higher trims. It will continue to be offered with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and others as standard safety features.
The 2024 Kia Sonet is likely to be offered with the same powertrain options including a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. The NA petrol engine is good for 83bhp and 115Nm, while the turbo unit produces 120bhp and 172Nm of torque. The oil burner is good for 116bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be on offer. The SUV will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, and others.
