If you already use Google as your primary email, calendar and cloud storage, it just makes sense to use a Google phone as well. And for Android users looking to upgrade to the latest generation, there are quite a few offers out there that can help you snag one for less. Several retailers are offering up to $200 off unlocked models, and you can save even more — or even get your hands on one for free — with a trade-in or a new line of service. To help you take full advantage of these offers, we’ve rounded up the best deals available right now below.
As well as impressive new AI and camera features, there are some other notable upgrades, including Google’s new Tensor G3 processor, which powers both models, and brighter screens on both phones. The smaller Pixel 8 is also getting a higher 120Hz refresh rate display, up from 90Hz in the previous-gen model and the Pixel 8 Pro gains a neat new temperature sensor.
Note that in our ongoing review of the Pixel 8 Pro, CNET uncovered some problems with its cameras that we felt were serious enough to warrant holding off on recommending you buy it. Google says it’s working to quickly solve these issues via a software update and we’re confident that it will. We had no such problems with the Pixel 8 and rated it very highly.

Best Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro deals
Google is offering a few different ways to save on its latest Pixel phones right now — including some straightforward discounts on both models. You can save $150 on the unlocked Pixel 8 or $200 on the unlocked Pixel 8 Pro, with no trade-in or service plan required.
However, new customers joining the Google Fi Unlimited plan can save $700 on either model, scoring you the basic 128GB Pixel 8 for free. New customers adding a line of service on a different qualifying plan will still save $350 on the Pixel 8, or $500 on the Pixel 8 Pro.
And while it’s not required to get this deal, Google does have its own trade-in program where you can save up to $750 in exchange for your old phone.
Best Buy has matched Google’s offer on unlocked Pixel 8 phones, and has knocked $150 off the Pixel 8, and $200 off the Pixel 8 Pro. Plus, the tech retailer has a trade-in program where you can save up to $750 in exchange for your old phone from Apple, Google, Samsung and tons of other brands. Plus, Verizon customers on a qualifying plan will get enhanced trade-in credit that can save you up to $800 on the Pixel 8, or up to $1,000 on the Pixel 8 Pro. The purchase also includes three free months of 100GB Google One cloud storage, and unlocked models also come with one free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Like other retailers, Amazon is currently offering $150 off the Pixel 8 and $200 off the Pixel 8 Pro, which drops the starting prices down to $549 and $799 respectively. You can also save up to $401 with an eligible trade-in.
AT&T is offering some serious savings on Pixel phones when purchased on an installment plan. You can snag the basic Pixel 8 for just $10 per month, or the Pixel 8 Pro for just $15 per month as long as you have or switch to an eligible unlimited plan. The savings are applied as bill credits over a 36-month period and if you cancel service before then, you’ll have to pay the remaining balance out of pocket
Plus, you can snag a Pixel Watch 2 for free with the purchase, but will need to have a qualifying service plan for the smartwatch as well.
Those adding a new line at Verizon can save up to $800 on the Pixel 8 or up to $1,000 on the Pixel 8 Pro with an eligible trade-in, which scores you both models for free. Or you can save up to $800 with just a trade-in if you’re an existing customer who qualifies for an upgrade. And those who port their existing number over from another carrier will also get a free $200 Verizon gift card.
Verizon is also offering $400 off a Google Pixel Watch 2 with the purchase, but note that you’ll need a new line of service to get the discount.
T-Mobile customers on a Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plan can get either model for free with an eligible trade-in or a new line of service. If you’re on a different qualifying service plan, you can still save up to $500 with a trade-in or $400 with a new line. This discount is applied as bill credits over 24 months.
