NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s star pacer, Shaheen Afridished light on the viral video where Pakistan players were seen loading their luggage onto a container truck outside Sydney Airport.
Afridi clarified the situation, stating that the players were simply trying to save time as they had only 30 minutes before their next flight. The players, considering themselves a family, decided to help each other out, emphasising the unity within the team.

“I think we're just saving time, because we have 30 minutes left for the next flight.

We are just saving time. The boys said, brother, they are working together, so let's help them. That's why we are saving time, there is no such thing in us [We only had 30 minutes to catch our next flight and we helped because there were just two people loading the luggage. We wanted to wrap it up fast and to save time. We call this team a family and helped them as a family],” explained Afridi in another video that went viral later on.

The incident occurred as the Pakistan team arrived in Sydney as part of their tour to Australia for a three-match Test series. The team’s act of camaraderie and cooperation further reinforces the unity within the squad.
Meanwhile, Australia men’s selection panel chairperson, George Baileyexpressed confidence in opener David Warner‘s inclusion in the Test squad against Pakistan. Warner has announced that the series will mark his farewell from Test cricket. Bailey emphasised that the focus is on picking the best eleven players for each Test, with performance being a key factor in the selection process.
The upcoming Test series between Australia and Pakistan kicks off in Perth on December 14.
