The Lamborghini Revuelto has officially made its grand entrance into the Indian automotive market, heralding a new era as the successor to the iconic Aventador. Priced at a commanding Rs 8.89 crore (ex-showroom, India), this supercar stands out as the first series-production plug-in hybrid offering from Lamborghini, available in limited numbers across the country. Although the initial unit is ready to be delivered to eagerly awaiting customers in the coming weeks. The fresh bookings might not be accepted, as Stephan Winkelmann’s announcement that the Revuelto is already sold out until 2026.
Let’s delve into the heart of this powerhouse – the powertrain. The Lamborghini Revuelto boasts a brand-new 6.5L, V12 naturally aspirated engine, shedding an impressive 17kg compared to its predecessor. Delivering an astounding 825bhp at 9,250rpm and 725Nm of torque, this gasoline unit is intricately paired with a 3.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack and three electric motors. Notably, two motors are strategically positioned at the front, propelling each wheel, while the third motor is situated above the gearbox, energizing the rear wheels depending on the selected drive mode.
The cumulative power and torque outputs reach an impressive 1,015bhp and 807Nm, respectively. The Revuelto asserts its prowess with a blistering 0 to 100kmph acceleration in just 2.5 seconds and an exhilarating top speed of 350kmph. Handling transmission duties with finesse is an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, allowing for an electric-only drive range of approximately 8 to 10km.
Turning our attention to the opulent features, the Lamborghini Revuelto showcases an 8.4-inch floating touchscreen, complemented by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9.1-inch passenger-side display. The minimalist design eliminates multiple physical controls from the dashboard, creating an immersive and streamlined cockpit. Inside, the ‘Y’ design theme captivates, accompanied by a prominent carbon fiber center profile. Adding a touch of drama, the center console features a fighter jet-style starter button.
The multifunctional steering wheel incorporates mounted controls for hybrid system management, drive mode selection, damping settings adjustment, active aerodynamics manipulation, and nose lift operation. Compared to its predecessor, the Aventador Ultimae, the Revuelto offers an additional 26mm of headroom and an impressive 84mm of extra legroom. Furthermore, storage space is enhanced with compartments under the front hood and behind the seats. Noteworthy is the improved comfort and size of the seats, surpassing the standards set by the Aventador.
In terms of design and aerodynamics, the Lamborghini Revuelto stands as a captivating spectacle. Signature elements include Y-shaped LED light signatures in the headlamps, air intakes adorned with massive Y-shaped enclosures, and striking 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels featuring Y-shaped motifs. Continuing Lamborghini’s iconic tradition, the scissor doors add a touch of flair. Contributing to its agility and reduced weight, the Revuelto incorporates a carbon fiber front structure.
