Surat: The ongoing Legends League Cricket 2023 match here against India Capitals and Gujarat Giants will witness a clash of former players. Gautam Gambhir and S. Sreesanth got into a fight and after the match, the pacer hurled accusations against the Capitals captain.
The incident took place in a match held at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on Wednesday.
While Gambhir was batting, he got into a heated argument with Sreesanth, after which the umpires and teammates had to intervene.
Speaking after the match, Sreesanth said that Gambhir had scolded him for no reason. Gambhir, who respected his teammates, said that he was saddened by the move.

“I want to tell about what happened with Mr. Fighter who always fights with all his teammates for no reason. They don't even respect their own senior players including Veeru Bhai and a lot of people. Something similar happened today. Without any provocation, he was yelling at me, which was very rude.”
“Let me clarify that there is nothing wrong with me in this. The words he used and the words he said on the cricket field were unacceptable,” Sreesanth said after the match.
