Indian motel boss in Georgia got a 57-month jail sentence for treating a person unfairly and was told to pay $42,648.
Shreesh Tiwari, who is 71 years old, started managing the Budgetel Motel in Cartersville, Georgia, in 2020.
Soon after, Tiwari hired a lady (victim) to work as a cleaner at the motel and gave them a room to live in.
He promised to help her (victim) get her child back by paying them, getting them an apartment, and hiring a lawyer.
But Tiwari started asking her for sexual things from this person. He made her do these things to stay at the motel. If she said no, he kicked them out, leaving them with nowhere to go.
The victim had a hard past, and Tiwari used this and their fear of being homeless to control and force them to do awful things.
The head of Homeland Security Investigations in Atlanta said Tiwari took advantage of her difficult situation to hurt and control them.
