Infinix on Friday announced its Smart 8HD budget smartphone starting at Rs 5,669. The Infinix Smart 8HD comes in three colour variants —- Crystal Green, Shiny Hold, and Timber Black.
The smartphone is powered by a UniSOC T606 processor and will come with up to 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The internal storage is expandable up to 2 TB using a microSD card. It comes with Android 13 Go with Infinix’s XOS overlay on top. It also comes with a relatively large 5,000mAh battery. The screen is a 6.6-inch HD+ unit with up to 500 nits of peak brightness.
The device comes with a 90Hz punch-hole display. This dynamic notch feature, known as the Magic Ring, adds functionalities such as Face Unlock, Background Call, Charging Animation, Charge Completion Reminder, and Low Battery Reminder.
When it comes to photography, the Infinix Smart 8HD comes with an impressive photography setup, incorporating a 13MP dual AI camera along with a Quad-LED Ring Flash, enabling users to capture images under various lighting circumstances. Additionally, the Smart 8HD has an 8MP front-facing camera equipped with an LED flash, an upgrade from the 5MP camera seen in the Smart 7HD.
The Infinix Smart 8HD will go on sale on Flipkart and offline channels starting December 13 and Axis Bank card users can avail of a discount of 10 per cent according to the company.
“The sub-10K smartphone segment is currently characterized by a lack of innovative offerings. With the introduction of the Smart 8 series, our goal is to redefine this segment and provide a much-needed refresh in terms of premium design and innovative features,” said Infinix India CEO Anish Kapoor. This is the 14th smartphone from Infinix in its Smart series.
