Tata Sierra EV Design Patent Leaked

The Tata Sierra EV SUV concept stole the spotlight at this year’s Auto Expo, and the anticipation for its production-ready version, slated for a 2025 debut, continues to build. Despite the market launch being a couple of years away, a design patent for the electric SUV has surfaced, providing intriguing insights. The SUV’s front fascia exudes aggression with a closed-off grille, a massive bumper housing headlamps, a prominent skid plate and bonnet, and a width-spanning LED strip.

Moving to the side profile, flush door handles complement the thick cladding on the lower half of the body, featuring a distinctive kink on the B-pillar. The C & D-pillars boast a significant glass area, and the large alloy wheels contribute to the SUV’s robust stance. The leaked patent suggests that the final production version of the Sierra EV will closely mirror the striking design showcased in the concept.

The Sierra EV concept showcases a future-ready aesthetic while retaining the iconic silhouette and curved-over rear-side windows. Instead, the left side incorporates a sliding rear door, covering the glass area and B-pillar. Read: Tata Curvv SUV (Electric and Petrol) – Price Expectations

Based on the heavily modified Alfa platform (Gen 2), which also underpins the Altroz hatchback, the Sierra EV promises a futuristic interior. The cabin features a lounge-like seating area with a rear bench and a front passenger seat that swivels around to face the rear. Packed with advanced features such as ADAS, a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, an electric sunroof, digital driver display, and ambient mood lighting, the Sierra EV aims to deliver a cutting-edge driving experience.
