Indians, especially in the IT sector, are dominating across all levels worldwide, from employees to CEOs.
In breaking news, Romesh Wadhwani, aged 75, plans to invest $1 billion from his personal wealth into predictive and generative AI technology.
Romesh believes that AI will achieve in the next five years what we couldn’t accomplish in the past 50 years.
He states, “AI tech is rapidly advancing, and I often feel like I’m lagging behind every week. The pace of Gen AI development is astonishing. Every job, consumer, and company will undergo massive transformation.”
A graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Wadhwani moved to the U.S. from India on a fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned his Master’s and PhD degrees in electrical engineering.
Recently, he celebrated his 75th birthday surrounded by 100 friends. He is the founder, chairman and CEO of Symphony Technology Group (STG).
