Condition of roads completely deteriorated after Jagan became CM

The condition of the roads in the State has become totally deteriorated after Jagan Mohan Reddy has become the Chief Minister, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

Though the Chief Minister has been calling for tenders for understanding repairs to the roads no contractor is coming forward to take up the works due to the poor economic condition of the State, Lokesh told the locals of Payakaraopet when they brought to his notice during his Yuva Galam pada yatra the damaged condition of the roads in their area.

They informed Lokesh that Rs 8 cr was sanctioned for roads repair and also launched the repair works during the TDP regime but after the YSRCP came to power in 2019 these works are totally stopped.

Even the drainage condition in the town is also very poor due to which the locals are facing various problems, they informed Lokesh. Expressing concern over the bad condition of the roads and the drainage system, Lokesh promised them that immediately after the TDP forms the coming government, all the basic facilities will be provided in Payakaraopet area besides resolving all the issues that brought to his notice.

The residents of Indira Nagar in Payakaraopet also told Lokesh that they are facing various problems, including crossing of the railway track. They made an appeal to Lokesh to build a flyover on the railway track after the TDP forms the government.

Observing that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has completely destabilised the civic bodies, Lokesh promised to solve their problems once the TDP is back in power.

As Lokesh’s Yuva Galam pada yatra entered Visakhapatnam district, the senior party leaders, Pattipati Pulla Rao, KS Jawahar, Nimmakayala China Rajappa and others gave a warm reception to him. Massive gathering of people on either side of the road are seen to have a glimpse of Lokesh.
