In the recent times, electric two-wheeler manufacturers have introduced affordable versions of their popular electric scooters in the Indian market. While Ather introduced the 450S, Ola launched the S1 Air and S1 X. Similarly, Simple Energy has now launched the Simple Dot One e-scooter in the country at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This is an introductory price tag exclusively for pre-booked Simple One customers from Bengaluru city.
Interested customers can book the new Simple Dot One e-scooter online. It is basically an affordable version of the Simple One. This electric scooter is available in 4 colour options – Brazen Black, Namma Red, Grace White, and Azure Black. It is also offered with two dual-tone colour options called the Brazen X and Light X.
Simple Dot One Specifications
The Simple Dot One e-scooter is fitted with a 3.7 kWh battery pack, which is claimed to offer a certified range of 151kms on a single charge. It comes fitted with an 8.5 kW (11.4bhp) electric motor, which offers a maximum torque of 72Nm. The new electric scooter is claimed to achieve 0 to 40kmph acceleration in just 2.77 seconds before hitting a top speed of 105kmph.
The Simple Dot One comes with four ride modes – Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic. The electric scooter comes with disc brakes at both ends with CBS (Combi-Braking System). It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 90/90 section tubeless tyres. The e-scooter has a ground clearance of 164.5mm and an under-seat storage of 35-litres. It has a kerb weight of 126kg.
This entry-level scooter is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen instrument screen, which is missing in most of its direct rivals including Ather 450S and the Ola S1 Air. This instrument console also supports mobile connectivity.
