Losing money on online games and gambling had reached the pinnacle point during the lockdown period when people were confined to their homes. But this worrisome trend is still continuing and it is having serious repercussions and how claimed the life of a Telugu police constable named Naresh and his entire family.
The shocking murder-suicide incident happened on 15 December and the reason behind the same has come to light now.
The said constable Naresh(35) is a gunman to the collector. He is a resident of Siddipet. Sadly for him, he lost many lakhs in online gaming and this financial distress pushed his family in a deep mess. He was in no position to pay back the money that he took from others for online gaming. So he decided to end his life and also that of his family members.
On 15 December, Naresh stopped his wife Chaitanya(30) who works as a private school teacher and his two kids – Revanth(7) and Hithasri(5) who study there. He then shot his wife first and then his two kids. He turned the gun on himself at last. All four family members were killed in the shocking incident.
It was later established that Naresh had debts amounting to Rs 50 lakh which led to the tragic incident.
