Film Chamber President Dil Raju had called for a meeting of Producers of Sankranthi releases to resolve the Release Problem.
As many as five movies are releasing for Sankranthi. These many films releasing will be counter-productive and so, the Chamber is trying to avert the rush.
Gunturkaaram Producer Naga Vamsi, Eagle Co-Producer TG Vishwaprasad, and Naa Saami Ranga Producer Chitturi Srinu have attended. Director Sailesh Kolanu attended on behalf of Saindhav producer Venkat Boyanpalli.
Hanu-Man producer skipped the meeting citing that he is out of station. Initially, there was an information that Director Prasanth Varma would attend on his behalf but even he did not turn out upsetting other producers.
Hanu-Man team, however, says the producer is in Bengaluru in a business meeting and Prasanth Varma was struck in a Star MAA show shooting and by that time, he was to start for the meeting, it is already completed.
Dil Raju tried to convince Eagle and Naa Saami Ranga producers pointing out that they have issues with OTT and Hindi deals.
Vishwaprasad reportedly told them that they are comfortable with the business even if the OTT is not closed.
Chitturi Srinu told Dil Raju that he has some offers and is confident that he can close.
Gunturkaaram producer is comfortable in all the ways and told he is sticking to the same date.
With everyone sticking to their stand, Dil Raju asked them to discuss with their Heroes and come to the next meeting.
Our sources inside the Chamber say the plan is to convince Hanu-Man producer to back out of the contest and ensure Eagle releases on January 11th.
But Hanu-Man team feels they are being discriminated for being a small film.
