Inspector Manoj Sharma, accused in the police station shooting in Aligarh, has been arrested. A reward of Rs 20 thousand had also been declared on the inspector. The woman had died during treatment two days ago.

It is being told that the absconding inspector was coming in his car to surrender in the court. Police arrested the inspector from Sarsaul intersection of Aligarh. The Inspector had also filed an application for bail.

Ishrat was the wife of Shakeel Khan, an elderly hardware/lock merchant of Haddi Godown area of ​​Turkman Gate outpost area of ​​Nigar Kotwali and she had gone to the Kotwali on December 8 with her son Ishaan for passport verification. Around 2.30 in the afternoon, she reached Munshiyana and was talking to the Munshi (office policeman) present there. Then Munshi took out his service pistol from the Malkhana to Inspector Manoj Sharma. The Inspector fired the pistol while standing there, checking it.

He feared that the chamber of the pistol was empty, but there was a bullet, which directly hit the neck near the temple of the woman Ishrat Nigar standing towards the door. She fell down as soon as she was shot. Since then he was undergoing treatment in the medical college. On Tuesday, the doctors tried for two hours and operated on his head and cleaned it. Ishrat Nigar did not regain consciousness from the very first day and was in a coma-like state. Ishrat Nigar's condition started deteriorating from Wednesday afternoon and she was declared dead at around 10 pm.

Ghaziabad resident Inspector posted at Bhujpura post was missing after the firing incident on December 8. On the basis of the case against the Inspector, the police had declared a non-bailable warrant and a reward of Rs 20,000. Posters were also released. Two police teams were camping in Agra, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffar Nagar, Saharanpur, Shamli and NCR of Western UP and Uttarakhand. Many relatives and friends were also detained.
