An NRI TDP Supporter Yash Bodduluri was arrested by APCID at Shamshabad Airport, Hyderabad. He was arrested on the charges of making social media posts against YSR Congress Government and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He was brought to the Guntur CID office and was later released serving 41A notice.
Yash Bodduluri resides in the United States and has not come to India in the last five years. He came to India unexpectedly after his mother is unwell.
The arrest and reasons for arrest aside, one could not stop wondering how the Police knew Yash is coming to India.
“It would not be possible unless they maintain a constant watch on his family in India. They may be even tapping the phones of his family members. If that is true, it comes as a surprise that so much concentration on a case related to social media posts. Probably they are doing it to the families of all NRI TDP supporters,” Former Minister Devineni Uma said.
There is a video on social media where the cops are seen telling him there is a lookout notice on him.
After the release, Yash also mentioned that the Police had been troubling his mother for the last four years.
When the News of the arrest broke out, Nara Lokesh and the TDP NRI wing got alert immediately and pressed legal services to help Yash. Devineni Uma and other TDP leaders reached the CID office and protested against the arrest.
TDP claims it is under their pressure, the Police followed the rules and released Yash by serving a 41A notice.
