Salaar: Biggest Indian opener of 2023 by a huge margin

Prabhas’ Salaar is officially the biggest Indian opener of 2023. As per the update provided by makers, Salaar collected a whopping 178.7 crores gross on its first day at the global level. To note, Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo collected 148.5 crores gross on day one, and Salaar has zoomed past this number by a huge margin.
This is the second-biggest opener of Prabhas after Baahubali 2. A solid opening was always expected, but the movie surpassed all expectations. The star power of Prabhas and the craze of Prashanth Neel among the audience helped the movie achieve this stupendous feat.
Neel’s previous film, KGF 2, collected more than 1200 crores gross at the box office, and we need to see if Prabhas starrer can break KGF 2 record as the word of mouth and reviews of Salaar are extremely good. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan are also part of this action drama.
