Brazilian soccer superstar Vinicius Junior made a courtside appearance at the Oklahoma City Thunder’s home game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
The Real Madrid winger attended the contest as a guest and close friend of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Vinicius even clutched a jersey of the Thunder guard and proudly showcased it throughout the night.
Vinicius and Gilgeous-Alexander are both viewed as rising stars in their respective sports. Vinicius, 23, boasts 83 goals in his seven-year professional career while Gilgeous-Alexander, 25, earned All-NBA first team honors last season.
This isn’t the first time the two stars have shown each other support. Gilgeous-Alexander attended a Champions League semifinals match between Real Madrid and Manchester City in MadridSpain, on May 9.

Vinicius Junior’s friendship with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior is known to be a big North American sports stars and the Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander fits the bill.
After the Thunder’s 2022-23 season ended in April, Gilgeous-Alexander visited Junior in Madrid and watched the soccer star play a match, according to an ESPN report.
