Tata Motors latest cars & SUVs have been receiving an excellent response from car buyers. In fact, the recently launched Nexon facelift is consistently doing over 14000-15000 sales per month. Moreover, the updated Safari & Harrier have also received well among premium SUV buyers. However, the new Tata SUVs owners have reported multiple reliability and safety issues. A new Nexon owner & Safari owner have shared their frightening experiences on social media platforms.
Tata Safari Owner – Abhishek Chaudhary
The brand new Tata Safari 2023 Dark Edition owner, Abhishek Chaudhary has shared his distressing experience as a new Safari owner on X platform (Earlier known as Twitter). Within 10 days of taking possession of this premium SUV, Abhishek has witnessed several reliability and safety issues. He said that the SUV has shown multiple malfunctions such as speedometer is not working, windows are not working properly, failure of the ORVMs and a ADAS malfunctioning.
He stated that the ADAS function “in which car stops when it detects car very close by in front of it, was not working. At times ADAS has led to sudden brake when it was not required.” In fact, his SUV was hit by a bike due to ADAS failure. He further reveals that the welcome lights were not in sync and left side lights in front & back are not working properly. Adding to it, the co-occupant door had to be pushed hard to close properly.
Airbags Deployed At Service Station
The biggest nightmare for Safari owner came at the official service centre. He reveals that “one guy at the Tata service centre without uniform started hammering the gate hard, this led to opening of the airbags”.
He said that “I had a very bad experience with Tata Motors not only in the showroom but also at the service centre firstly I asked for a white dual tone safari which they said I will get by 9th of December after getting advance payment they denied to give me that colour said we can provide only Dark Edition in this month because I sold my previous car as per their commitment. I had no other option but to go for the available colour.
Tata Nexon Owner – Dr. Praveen Kadam
Mr. Praveen Kadam, a resident of Hadapsur, Pune in a “Tata Nexon Owners” group has shared its bad experience with his new Nexon SUV. After selling his Maruti Baleno, he purchased the new Nexon; however, the SUV has shown multiple issues & malfunctioning of various key features.
He stated that since the time of purchase, the new Tata Nexon keep showing multiple issues & breakdowns of multiple features. Initially, the owner experienced water leakage issues & malfunction indicator light problems. The owner is now experiencing air conditioning (AC) failure, which led to multiple visits to the service station.
The biggest shock – owner claims that the car has visited the service station for 16 times within just four months of ownership.
