The first match of the India-South Africa two-Test series is just hours away. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has praised Indian wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul ahead of this exciting match.
Rohit said that Rahul's growth as a wicket-keeper batsman in the Indian team has given the team a lot of confidence and Rahul's performance as a keeper and batsman will benefit the Indian team.
“Every cricketer changes and takes on new roles in their career. But only a few of these stars will stick to their single position. KL Rahul is one of them. I loved Rahul's performance as a wicket keeper in the last World Cup. In the Indian team, Rahul is able to bat in the positions of 5, 6 and 7, it is in favor of the Indian team,' said Rohit Sharma in a press conference.

The Indian captain also talked about Rahul's century in the series against South Africa.
' The last time we played in South Africa, Rahul scored a brilliant century. That day he came out in the opening. But this time Rahul will be playing in the middle order. Knows exactly what is needed depending on the situation on the field. I'm not sure how long he will bat well in Greece but at the moment Rahul is very excited to take that place in the team,' added Rohit.
Meanwhile, the T20I series between India and South Africa was tied 1-1, while India won the ODI series 2-1.
