Here is a list of all upcoming Hyundai and Kia cars and SUVs that are scheduled to be launched or unveiled in the Indian market in 2024. Hyundai India’s upcoming cars in 2024 will include updated versions of its popular SUVs and new electric vehicles. Similarly, Kia will introduce the Sonet facelifta new electric SUV and two all-new models in the country in 2024.

The Korean automaker, Hyundai will introduce the updated versions of the Creta, Alcazar and the Tucson in the Indian market before the end of 2024. The company will first introduce the Creta facelift on January 16, 2024, while the Alcazar facelift and Tucson facelift are likely to launch in mid-2024. The Creta will receive significant design & interior changes along with a new turbo petrol engine. It will also receive advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
After the success of the Ioniq 5, Hyundai is now planning to launch the Ioniq 6 electric sedan in our market in 2024. It is based on the same e-GMP skateboard architecture that underpins the Ioniq 5. Hyundai is also expected to launch the new Kona EV in the country in 2024. In the global markets, the Kona EV gets 2 battery pack options – 48.4kWh and 65.4kWh – and produces 155PS and 218PS of power, respectively. The SUV claims to offer a range of 490km on a single charge.
Hyundai will also introduce the long-awaited Creta EV that has been spotted testing numerous times on the Indian roads. This electric SUV will go head-to-head with Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming eVX concept-based electric SUV scheduled for the second half of 2024. It will be offered with a small 45kWh battery pack sourced from LG Chem. The electric motor, borrowed from the global-spec Kona EV, will be placed on the front axle, and produces 138bhp and 255Nm of torque.

The Korean automaker, Kia will launch the Sonet facelift in the country in January 2024. Interested buyers can book the SUV online or at authorised dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 20,000. The updated model comes with significant design & interior changes along with ADAS Level 1 system. Adding to, the SUV also gets a diesel manual option. It will continue to be offered with 3 engine options – a 1.2L NA petrol, a 1.0L Turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel.
Kia will launch the fourth generation Carnival MPV in the second half of 2024. The new model is slightly longer, wider and taller than the previous model. The MPV will continue to be offered with a 2.0L turbo diesel engine with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The company will launch the EV9 3-row electric SUV in our market in 2024. The new model is based on the skateboard architecture that underpins the EV6 on sale in our market. It comes with multiple seating layout, depending on the variant. In the global markets, the Kia EV9 is available with 3 powertrain options. There are two battery options – a 76.1kWh and a 99.8kWh. While the former is offered with RWD standard version, the latter is available with both RWD long-range and AWD variants.
The Korean automaker will also introduce a new compact SUV, codenamed AY in the Indian market by the end of 2024. Rumoured to be called the Kia Clavis, the new SUV will be based on the ICE platform and will also receive an electric derivative in 2025. The SUV is also expected to receive a strong hybrid powertrain. It will be positioned between the Sonet and the Seltos.
