Nandamuri Kalyanram pinned many hopes on Devil and the film opened to decent reviews all over. The team celebrated the success and Kalyanram announced a sequel for Devil and he said that the shoot of sequel will start in 2024 and the film will hit the screens in 2025. He also announced that Abhishek Nama will direct and produce the sequel too. Devil is a stylish action thriller set during 1945 and Kalyanram essayed the role of a British Secret Agent. Samyuktha played the leading lady in Devil.
The film landed into a controversy after the film’s director Naveen Medaram’s name was replaced with Abhishek Nama after the shoot got concluded. Kalyanram decided to stay tightlipped about the controversy. The basic idea of Devil 2 has been locked and the pre-production work will commence soon. Before this, Kalyanram will also start the shoot of Bimbisara 2 in 2024. He is quite selective and is not in a hurry. Kalyanram is also co-producing NTR’s Devara that is planned on a massive budget. The film hits the screens in April 2024.
