BRS faced a largely negative result in 2023 Telangana election as the party was stripped of power. But the party has to quickly shrug this off and prepare for the MP elections. But things arent quite conventional this time for BRS as the party chief KCR is still recovering from the hip surgery and he needs more time.
In KCR’s unavailability, KTR and Harish Rao are looking after the party affairs. KTR is said to be at the helm now as he is the one who is finalizing the candidates for the coming MP elections, it seems.
Starting today, KTR will meet with BRS’s prospective candidates for the MP elections and these meetings will go on for a week or so from now.
KTR is said to be focused on claiming the majority fo the seats in GHMC area in the coming MP elections. The idea is to replicate the success of winning 16/24 MLA seats in the recent MLA elections by winning big in the GHMC MPs segments.
KTR is said to be interacting with the party candidates for the MP elections. The focus is also being set on the Malkajgiri constituency which has a lot if prominence.
With KCR expected to be on the sidelines for a few more weeks, all eyes will be on KTR as he leads the charge for BRS in the coming MP elections.
