Brisbane: Japanese tennis sensation Naomi Osaka made a comeback with a win in the Brisbane tennis tournament. After a long break, Osaka defeated Tamara Korpach (Germany) 6-3, 7-6(9-7) in the first round competition held on Monday. Osaka, who won the first set comfortably, faced exceptional resistance in the second set. Osaka, who was 5-3 at one stage in the tiebreak, took the match with three consecutive points at the end. Afterwards, the 28-year-old Osaka said that she entered the court feeling scared and that she was satisfied with the win in the first round. Osaka, who has won the Australian Open twice and the US Open Grand Slam titles once, pulled out of the 2023 Australian Open Grand Slam tournament in the middle. Later, she married Japanese player Rafer Korte and gave birth to a daughter in Los Angeles.
