One of the best Netflix originals, Mindhunter, was ended officially by the streaming giant in 2023, much to everyone’s dislike. In recent years, the show’s two seasons have been considered one of the best-crafted pieces of the fictional world.
But, the show was put on hold way back in 2020. Ever since, fans have been demanding David Fincher, the man behind it, to bring it back. He tried to explain his situation with Netflix several times and how low viewership, irrespective of the critical success, and high production cost led to its cancellation.
Now, in a new update, Holt McCallany (as Bill Tench) talked about the show’s future and probable season 3 in an interview. He has been confirmed to be in season 3, if and when it happens. What increased everyone’s hope for a new Mindhunter season was when McCallany revealed that David Fincher had thought about it, which is more than not having a third season.
Whatever the outcome of this, Mindhunter has a dedicated, cult following, that will wait as long as it takes to watch more of the thriller they grew to love.
