Ather 450 Apex Launched – Price, Range, Features Explained

Ather Energy has introduced its latest electric scooter, the 450 Apex, with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1,89,000 in Bengaluru, making it the company’s most expensive and powerful electric offering to date. The scooter features a 7kWh electric motor paired with a 3.7kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed maximum power of 3.3kW and 26Nm of torque. In comparison to the Ather 450X, it boasts a 10% increase in power and torque.

The Ather 450 Apex promises an impressive top speed of 100kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in just 2.9 seconds. It introduces a new ride mode, Wrap+, in addition to the existing Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport, and Wrap modes. With a claimed range of 157km on a single charge, the Ather 450 Apex surpasses the 450X by 7km. Notably, the electric scooter features an advanced adjustable regenerative braking system called MagicTwist, allowing for intuitive acceleration and braking with a twist of the throttle.

Equipped with a 200mm front disc and a 190mm rear disc brake, the Ather 450 Apex rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear unit, supported by 12-inch wheels. The scooter offers a generous 22-litre underseat storage capacity and weighs 111.6kg.

Key features of the Ather 450 Apex include a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, navigation with Google Maps, smartphone connectivity, auto hold, park assist, an aluminum spaceframe chassis, auto indicator cut-off, LED lighting system, and alloy wheels.

Ather Energy provides a five-year or 60,000km battery warranty along with three years of complimentary Ather Connect as standard. Buyers also have the option to choose the Delight Kit, featuring a handcrafted helmet matching the colors of the 450 Apex, a tyre pressure monitoring system accessory, an iron-on garment patch, a neck gaiter, and a keychain. The Ather 450 Apex is available in Indium Blue and Stark Orange shades with a satin feel and red flakes, similar to the 450X.
