Naresh Goyal, the founder of Jet Airways, shed tears in the court saying that he has lost all hope in life and that it is better to die than to live.
Mumbai: “I have lost all hope in life. It is better to die in jail than to live in the current situation..!'' said Jet Airways (Jet Airways) entrepreneur Naresh Goyal broke down in tears in court. He was arrested by 'ED' in the money laundering case of Rs.538 crores related to Canara Bank.. He is currently in judicial custody in Arthur Jail in Mumbai. He appeared in a special court on Saturday during the hearing of the bail petition. On this occasion, a brief personal inquiry was requested.. Judge MG Deshpande allowed it.
“My wife has advanced cancer. Missing her a lot. The only daughter is also sick. There is no one to look after them. Even though I am weak. Health is declining. Even though JJ is being taken to the hospital.. services are not being provided on time. All these are affecting the health. Do not send to that hospital. Rather than live in such conditions, let him die in jail,” he said, folding his hands in front of the judge and wailing, as recorded in the records of the court's daily hearings.

Judge MG Deshpande mentioned in court records that he found Naresh Goyal shaking while explaining his circumstances. He said that he will not be left in a helpless state and that he will be given proper treatment to protect his mental and physical health. Goyal's lawyers have been instructed to take appropriate action in this regard. On the other hand, ED has filed a response on his bail petition. The matter will come up for further hearing on January 16.
Canara Bank has given a total loan of 848.86 crores to the domestic airline 'Jet Airways'. But out of that 538.62 crores was not repaid by the company. With this, Canara Bank filed a case. The CBI registered an FIR and took up the investigation. Jet Airways found cheating. ED also took up the investigation after the money laundering aspects came to light in this case. Naresh Goyal was arrested on September 1 last year.
