Several Galaxy Xcover 7 details leak ahead of official launch

Among all the Galaxy S24 leaks that we have been bombarded with over the last few weeks, we have also seen information about some upcoming mid-range Samsung phones showing up online from time to time. Today, we’re getting several details about the Galaxy Xcover 7 thanks to what seems to be an accidental early listing of the device by a Samsung reseller (via WinFuture).

Galaxy Xcover phones are targeted at enterprise customers and feature rugged designs that can withstand extreme conditions that field workers often operate in. In addition to IP68 water and dust resistance like Samsung’s flagship and some Galaxy A series devices, Xcover smartphones are compliant with the military-grade MIL-STD-810H standard. They also come with removable batteries, a feature no longer seen on other Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy Xcover 7 follows the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro and is more a sidegrade than an upgrade, as it shares many of the same specs, such as a 6.6-inch display and a 4,050 mAh battery. It also has at least one notable downgrade: the Snapdragon 778G found on the Xcover 6 Pro has been swapped out for a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+. The Dimensity 6100+ will be accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The front camera on the Xcover 7 is a 5-megapixel sensor, like the Galaxy Xcover 5 from 2021 (the Xcover 6 Pro has a 13MP front camera). At the back, it has a single 50MP camera with dual LED flashes below it. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone port, along with an action button at the side that enables push-to-talk functionality and can be manually assigned to perform a custom task by the user.

On the software front, the Xcover 7 will be the third or fourth Samsung device to come with Android 14 and One UI 6 out of the box, depending on whether it comes out before or after the Galaxy S24 lineup. A price tag of €379,90 has been rumored for Europe, though the final price will only be revealed when the phone goes official.
