Young and talented hero Teja Sajja and director Prashant Varma's huge movie “Hanu Maan” is one of the awaited films from our Tollywood in this new year. Let's see in the review whether this film, which was released amid huge bookings, met the expectations.
Story:
Coming to the story…Michael (Vinay Roy) from a fictional city Souryastra region has been very influenced by superheroes since his childhood and wants to become a superhero himself. On the other hand, Hanuman (Teja Sajja), a young boy who goes around doing small thefts in a small village called Anjanadri, gets the powers of Bajrang Hanuman due to some consequences. And how did he get this power? How is that energy stored on Earth? And how does Michael come to know about this power? If it comes, then what will the war be like and how is the connection of Indian epics to all this?
Plus Points:
Hanuman is the biggest major plus point in this film and director Prashant Varma has shown how to highlight that factor in the film. The hero Teja Sajja gave complete life to his role. He made his role very easy and responsible and also impressed with his looks but also with his emotional performances including comedy timing and action part.
Heroine Amrita Iyer also played a good role in this film. Impressed with her beautiful looks while traveling with the hero. Along with them, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar appeared in a very powerful role. A very natural performance was shown. The performances of both are impressive in the emotional scenes with Teja as the main character.
Along with them, versatile actor Samudrakhani's role will be surprising in the film. He is also set perfectly in his role. Vinay Roy also looks clean as the villain. Along with them, Getup Sreenu, Vennela Kishore and comedian Satya were hilariously worked out.
Apart from all these, there are many scenes in the movie where Romalu Nikkaboduchu. There are many high moments in the first half and second half as well. There is no doubt that the total climax sequence is another biggest highlight and this is definitely something to watch and enjoy on the big screens.
Minus Points:
There are some flaws in this film. Although this film is presented as our Telugu superhero, some sequences seem a bit regular. Also Vinay's role as the villain should be presented powerfully. Also, he has to present his character in more detail. Along with his character, logics are missing at some places in the movie.
Many more scenes need to be designed with better VFX. Also the plot of the movie but some sequences but it seems like we have already seen it. Also, the film seems to move a little slowly here and there. Also, in the second half, the starting is a bit slow, but later it feels okay. Also, a bit of naturalness is missing in the action sequence and it doesn't feel like watching a complete superhero movie.
Technical category:
The production values are good in this film. For the given budget, the visuals are mostly fair. The production values in all the crafts except for one VFX are very good. The VFX has been shown very natural in many places but in some places the budget may have been compromised. Shivendra's cinematography is good. He showed huge visuals.
And Gauri Harish's music is next level in the movie. He was the backbone of the film with his background score as the main character. In this type of films, Rajamouli has Keeravani music and Prashant Varma has Gauri Harish at his level. Also editing and dialogues are good.
When it comes to director Prashanth Varma, hats off to his vision. Otherwise, although it is a superhero genre, he showed some scenes that we have already seen. But here he is super successful in adding our epic to the present time.
Looking at the way he presented Hanuman factor, elevations and climax portion, it can be said that if he gives more budget to his movies in the coming days, he will still give solid visuals. But still some logics need to be corrected and action sequences should be presented more naturally.
Verdict:
Overall, it can be said that the expectations of this first superhero film from our Telugu “Hanuman” have been reached. All the main lead actors gave solid performances. Also, the way director Prashant Varma presents the Hanuman factor, adding to our epic is impressive. Apart from some logics and graphics at some places, this huge movie will give everyone a good treat as a Sankranthi gift.
