The other day, YSRCP lost its Kurnool MP, Sanjeev Kumar as he submitted his resignation for the MP seat and also the party membership. This happened after YCP allocated the Kurnool MP ticket to someone else without the sitting MP’s knowledge.
Cut to now, the party has lost another MP as its sitting MP from Machilipatnam Vallabhaneni Balashouri has parted ways with the party.
Balashouri submitted his resignation to the MP seat and also announced that he is leaving YSRCP effectively immediately. He too is disgusted with the party over the alteration of the MP tickets, say reports.
Whatever might be the reason, losing 2 MPs in 2 days can spell disaster for YCP, at a time when there are reports that the party is already finding it hard to put together 25 MP candidates for as many candidates.
Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, the sitting MP from Ongole has also been staying away from YCP and it is a matter of time before he too quits the party. He is already in touch with TDP, it seems.
