Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch the much-awaited & its biggest ever motorcycle, called the Hero Mavrick 440 in the country on January 22, 2024. Ahead of its launch, Hero has released two new teaser images of the upcoming motorcycle. The new teaser previews the design language of the Mavrick 440 naked streetfighter.
The latest teasers confirm that the Hero Mavrick 440 naked motorcycle comes with an H-shaped Daytime Running Lamp (DRL), which will be fitted inside the round headlight. This H-shaped DRL and round-shaped headlamp are now common in latest breed of Hero motorcycles.
The Hero Mavrick 440 share most of its components with the Harley-Davidson X440; however, Hero MotoCorp has made some notable changes to keep things fresh in the market. The new motorcycle has sporty design elements like sculpted, a muscular fuel tank with sharp extensions, bar-end mirrors, and wide handlebars.
The Harley-Davidson X440 comes with upside down front forks, which won’t be offered on the Mavrick. Instead, the Hero Mavrick 440 will receive a telescopic front fork. The motorcycle’s muffler appears smaller and better, and is integrated into the bike than the one on the Harley X440. It is expected to share some of the elements from the Hero Karizma XMR such as a TFT instrument screen with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and smartphone integration through a dedicated application compatible with both Apple and Android devices.
The new Hero Mavrick 440 will be powered by the same 440cc, single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled engine that powers the HD X440. This engine is capable of producing 27bhp of power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 38Nm at 4,000rpm. It also comes with an all-new exhaust note, which has a faster beat with less thump.
Hero MotoCorp plans to sell premium motorcycles in two segments – Core Premium and Upper Premium. The Mavrick 440 will be the brand’s most expensive motorcycle and will fall under the Upper Premium Category. The company aims to establish 100 exclusive stores for its premium bike range. Adding to it, Hero MotoCorp will also enhance existing 500 outlets as part of the Hero 2.0 retail plan.
