Keerthy Suresh Losing Track?

Keerthy Suresh stands out as one of the most promising actresses in the country, possessing immense untapped potential. Her noteworthy performance in Dasara last year garnered decent acclaim, showcasing her acting prowess.

However, in the subsequent projects, the trajectory of her film choices left a lot to be desired. Following the success of Dasara, she appeared in Maamannan and Bholaa Shankar.

While Maamannan was a commendable film, Keerthy’s role seemed somewhat overshadowed by Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil’s captivating performances. On the other hand, Bholaa Shankar, unfortunately, proved to be a huge setback, denting her reputation as an actress known for selecting compelling scripts.

On Sunday morning, Keerthy’s Bollywood debut alongside Varun Dhawan was officially announced. The film is reported to be a remake of Atlee’s cop drama, Theri, a highly popular film among North Indian audiences on YouTube and satellite. The decision to remake a widely watched film raises eyebrows among her fans, who had hoped for a better project for her Bollywood entry.

In addition, the teaser for Keerthy’s upcoming film, Raghu Thatha, recently surfaced but failed to generate significant attention. The movie explores the theme of resisting the imposition of Hindi, a novel concept that may find a more suitable audience in the OTT space rather than in theaters.

Overall Keerthy Suresh’s choice of films has been a bit disappointing of late. But we hope the Hindi remake of Theri and her other projects exceed expectations and become successful at the box office.
