Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has introduced the new Jawa 350 as a replacement to the Jawa Classic in the country. Priced at Rs 2,14,950 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the bike receives multiple improvements over its predecessor. One of the major changes comes in the form of the new 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that’s 4.8bhp less powerful and 1Nm torquier than its replacement.
The new motor is claimed to deliver a maximum power of 22.5bhp at 7,000rpm and 28.1Nm at 5,000rpm. The bikemaker claims that the engine offers better low-end and mid-range grunt. It has a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The new Jawa 350 has been made available in three colour schemes – new Mystique Orange, Classic Jawa Maroon and Black.

Based on the double cradle frame, the new Jawa 350 weighs 194kg and a fuel tank capacity of 13.5-litres. Compared to its arch rival – Royal Enfield Classic 350, it has 1kg lighter body built. The bike’s ground clearance stands at 178mm and it offers a seat height of 790mm.
Suspension duties are done by a 35mm telescopic fork and preload adjustable twin shock absorbers. The braking system includes a 280mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc along with the standard dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The new Jawa bike rides on 100/90-18 front and 130/70-18 rear tyres.
