In 2008 my dad had purchased the 6/90 from a lady who’s Husband had passed away and the car was sitting in the garage and not running for about 25 Years. The car came with some essential cosmetics bits missing like the bumpers and grill and the engine was seized.
Initially he decided to start on opening the engine to see what has gone wrong and leading to the seizure of the engine. After which car has been parked and standing and detiorated even though she’s been under a covered shed.
Some pics from when the car was brought and work was started on it by my dad. These pics were taken and uploaded by our BHPian Mr. John Milne in 2009 when he had come over to meet my father.
Fast forward to 2021, after battling cancer for about 8months, my father passed away on 1st December.
I inherited this car and decided to restore her back to her glory. It’s taken me about 2 Years with probably 6-7months of active work on the car. The challange was getting all the mechanical and cosmetic parts together from different parts of the world which I will be sharing here.
Here is how we started and took her out of her long hibernate of about 14Years in our house.
