It is known that YCP rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju had filed a plea at the Supreme Court recently, asking to transfer Jagan’s disproportionate assets case from the Telugu states to another state.
The case came to a hearing today and the Supreme Court made a set of interesting comments.
The apex court asked the CBI the reason why Jagan’s cases are getting delayed and the investigation agency replied that they can’t be held responsible for the delay. The CBI mentioned that the delay was due to the postponement from the lower courts.
“What is the reason behind the delay? Is there any benefit from delaying these cases?” The apex court stated. The court expressed discernment with the investigation agency for the extreme delay in the case and even referred to a previous order from the Supreme Court itself to speed up the investigations on cases on public representatives whenever possible.
The Supreme Court posted the next hearing on this case to April. The apex court stated it would wait for the Telangana High Court to deliver a verdict on this matter.
